Bakesale/booksale updatery

First, thanks so much to everyone who placed an order or signal-boosted my bakesale/booksale. I adore you all.

Second, I've gotten some questions from people who want to help pitch in but either don't want to buy cookies/caramels or can only donate less than the price I'm asking for those things or aren't in the US so I can't mail them delicious things without them going icky on the way there.

Two ideas.

I had a couple of people asking me if I minded if they tried to raise some money for me via bake- or whatever-sales of their own. It was pointed out to me that bake sales should be community efforts, which is a point I wholeheartedly agree with. I don't think this warrants an all-out auction community at this point -- there are still plenty of people out there worse off than us -- but what I reckon is if you want to raise money via your own sales of foodstuff or whateverstuff, it's fine with me, and thank you so much for your help. I know from participating in auction communities in the past that sometimes it's easier to offer goods/services than Paypal, so. That's totally up to you.

Also, for those of you who wanted to pitch in but didn't want foodstuffs and/or only had a tiny bit of funds available for the pitching and/or were not in the US, I'm posting a short story with a tip jar. It's my second-most recent story, one I never put any concerted effort into trying to sell at the time because I was up to my ears in almost-drafted-novel-land and then sort of forgot. It's my first and probably only zombie story that I shall ever write, and I figured what better use for it than to raise money for a house that looks like it's already been through the apocalypse SEE WHAT I DID THERE

Tip jar below!
